Release Upgrade Solutions

Quality vendors traditionally send out release upgrades to update, repair, and provide additional software functionality which is developed from internal and client resources. While some clients’ systems are current when these releases come out, many clients are either on releases that are no longer supported or require more time, effort and money to upgrade due to their status. Because of this complication, as well as changes that require major technology and functionality changes, the upgrade may require a vast amount of effort to bring the clients’ systems current.

Vendors want everyone to be current for their support services contracts, so they may even request that the customer start over with a completely new version of their product if the client has made modifications that would have a negative impact on a standard upgrade. However, switching to a new version of the product will cause the client to lose the customizations they developed and paid for.
